Amie McClaskey, Registered NurseAmie joined the team after working as a registered nurse for four years at Southwest Washington Medical Center. Her adventures began at Clark College and WSU Vancouver where she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Amie's fun-loving personality and deep level of care and concern, for each patient, is highly valued. Outside of work, Amie is a proud Mom and wife. She strives to support all of her son, Luke's endeavors. When she's not shooting hoops with her son, or playing life savors, she can be found pumping iron or running many miles on the treadmill. Watch out..if you spend to much time with her, she may create a personal fitness and dietary plan for you. |

Melissa Fox, Lead Surgical Assistant, Implant CoordinatorMelissa's inspiration for working in the dental profession began at the age of seven when she met her family dentist. She began working in the dental field her senior year of high school, in Park Ridge, Illinois. She quickly realized that oral surgery was the right fit for her. She found that she had a gift for helping patients overcome their fears. Before joining our team, Melissa spent several years serving as the lead assistant at a large oral surgery practice in Chicago. Melissa's eagerness to take on great levels of responsiblilty, coupled with her great sense of humor and genuine smile, make her a great asset to our team. Patients know that their are in good hands when Melissa is taking care of them. Melissa enjoys the challenge of assisting Dr. Verschueren in both the clinic and hospital setting. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband/best friend Jason and golden retriever Chyna. |

Sandy Pelkey, Surgical Scheduler, Financial SpecialistSandy started working in a dental office assisting half days her junior and senior years of high school. When she completed the dental assisting program at PCC, she knew that the dental field was the perfect fit for her. Before joining the team, Sandy worked for a wonderful dentist for 28 years. She looks forward to finishing her career with Dr. Verschueren. Sandy currently serves as our lead surgical scheduler, and also helps ensure that each patient understands and feels comfortable with their financial plan. Her calm and caring demeanor on the phone, and face to face with patients, helps make each individual experience a positive one. Sandy is married to an amazing man and has two grown children, a son-in-law, and a grandson, who is the apple of her eye!! She enjoys spending time with her family, and friends, scrapbooking, gardening and traveling. |

Taj Aoki, Jack of All TradesTaj serves as the glue of our team. There is no task in the office that is to large or small for him. He is the ultimate team player, problem solver and jack of all trades. While Northwest Oral & Facial Surgery was being built, Taj served as the project manager ensuring that each deadline was met. Now that the office is up and running, he provides daily tech support, assists with marketing, supplies and helps maintain the beauty of the office. When he's away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his family. His daughters, Amie and Anna, keep him plenty busy. His hobbies include: bike riding, jogging and swimming with his grand-son Luke. |

Anna Verschueren, Marketing & FinanceA graduate in Education and Speech Communcations, from the University of Washington, Anna works as a liaison with referring offices and helps maintain the financial aspects of the office. Anna grew up in the great city of Vancouver and is a product of Vancouver Public Schools. After Dr. Verschueren completed residency at OHSU, he and Anna felt passionate about moving across the river to serve the people in Vancouver. When Anna is not at the office, she can be found mentoring first and second year teachers in Vancouver Public Schools. She is passionate about professionally growing and moving teachers forward. In her spare time she enjoys running, rooting on UW athletics with her husband, and traveling with family and friends. |
